We've always believed in the power of sweets: the immediate gratification, the way they engage the senses, the sheer pleasure of biting into something rich and delicious. They're indulgence, reward and escape, all at the same time. Is it any wonder that they've become our lives' work?!

When we moved to Pittsburgh in 2006, we were inspired by the city and our new neighborhood of Squirrel Hill, a vibrant area where mom and pop businesses can still thrive and positively impact the community. We quickly realized that Pittsburgh is the perfect place for the bakery of our dreams - one where our neighbors stop in for a cup of coffee and a sweet treat, and we become part of each others' lives.

We're thrilled to offer irresistible goodies, made from the freshest and finest ingredients, to our friends in Pittsburgh — and beyond. This is not your grandmother's bakery, though. We know that the experience is as important as the product, so at Sweet Tammy's, you'll get a warm welcome from Daniel and Tammy, the young couple that own the bakery, bake the goodies and balance the books!

The fresh smell from the ovens, an inviting atmosphere, a welcoming and friendly staff- though we've grown and moved, these are all things you'll still find at our brand-new facility just one block behind Bakery Square in Pittsburgh's historic East End. Though we've come a long way from our humble beginnings, we're convinced that Sweet Tammy's is not just the same, but better than ever. Stop by, we'd love to show you around!

Freshness, small batches made from-scratch, great ingredients and no preservatives - these are the principles we bake by, and we think it shows. Whether you're biting into one of Sweet Tammy's chocolate-chunk-filled cookies or an elaborately-decorated wedding cake, you'll love the aroma, the taste and the utter deliciousness of our products.

Sweet Tammy's irresistible treats are non-dairy and kosher pareve (under the supervision of the Vaad HaKashrut of Pittsburgh.) We know, those words generally conjure up something dry and uninspired, but we've cracked the code. If you and your family are non-dairy eaters, or observe kosher dietary laws, you really can have your cake and eat it too. Say it with us: no more compromises!
